How do I enter a team?
Find 5 other people to join you, then enter a team by hitting REGISTER A TEAM in the menu. Let us know which charity you would like to fundraise for and then wait for us to confirm your place.
Is there a charge to enter a team?
There is a charge of £30 per team to enter a team (£5pp). This needs to be paid before your allocated tug time is given to you, and will complete your registration. 50% of entrance fees (from all teams) will be donated to the charity who has the winning team fundraising for them.
What does the tug involve?
As a team of 6, you just need to see how fast you can tug the tractor 50 metres. The team that tugs it the fastest will win 50% of every teams entrance fee’s for the charity they are tugging for.
Do you have to be a member of the gym to be part of a team?
No…anyone can join your team!
Is there a sponsorship target?
We ask that you do your best to raise £300 per team for your chosen charity – that’s just £50 each.
Is there an age limit?
All tuggers must be 16 years or over. We have no maximum age.
Do I need to train for the event?
No…all we ask is that all tuggers are fit and healthy: without any known heart problems, back issues or currently pregnant. You tug at your own risk. If you have any specific concerns, just let us know.
Where is the event taking place?
The event is being held at R Lukins Fitness in Pimperne (near Blandford).
Will there be anything else to do during the day?
Yes…it will be a family friendly day (10am-4pm…ish). We are still finalising the details, but we will have a bar, some good food, some great local bands, fun fitness challenges and hopefully some children’s entertainment. There will be a spectator area for the tractor tug so you can cheer teams on!
Is there parking?
There is parking available, but we ask that you car share as much as possible. It is a small village, and a private single track road into the gym so we would appreciate you considering those that live in the village by minimising the through traffic.
Do you have to pay to come and watch?
No, but we will have a donation box. Any donations on the entry gate will be split between all charities.
